I’m dizzy with lust.

Head spinning, heart racing, muscles clenching in all the right places.

I’m so far out of control, and all of my instincts yell at me to give in… to submit.

“Get on your knees,” Zach commands me in a low voice, which rumbles along my skin and causes blood to rage through my veins.

In fact, I think my crazy denial of his order was done only to provoke him to force my submission. Because that’s more exciting to my senses than just surrendering to his words alone.

Zach grips the back of my neck firmly and squeezes… just hard enough to really get my attention. I give a small, yielding sigh of contentment and briefly close my eyes as I remember the first time I saw Zach do this to another woman, and how much I yearned for him to do it to me.

It was a distinct moment in my life where all my notions of cultured civility seemed to fade away, only to be replaced by an intense hunger to learn something new from this man.

Odd… because I was his teacher, and yet, here he is… teaching me.

Interview with Matt: Mac, Love, Cal & a Sex Video?

Gut reaction, thoughts, feeling when you saw Mac at the bar for the One Night Only date?

Fuck… I was blown away. When I saw that she wore red, just like I requested, I started to get hard because she did something that she knew would please me. She was already trying to please me and we hadn’t even met yet.

Gut reaction, thoughts, feelings when you saw Mac walk into the conference room the Monday after?

I don’t recall the last time I’ve ever been so pissed off as when I saw Mac walk into that conference room. For a split second, I thought she had gone stalker on me, but then I realized she was my newest employee. It was like a punch to the gut, knowing I would be seeing her almost every day, and at the same time, knowing that I’d never be able to have her the same way again. In hindsight, I think I was pissed because I was already mourning the complete loss of her.

If Mac hadn't come to work for you, would you have sought her out?

Absolutely. I wanted her too much to let her go.

Cal & Mac… how do you really feel about their friendship/relationship?

Geez… you don’t tread lightly, do you? I’m trying… really, really hard to accept their friendship. I don’t have a doubt in my mind where Mac’s concerned, and if I’m truthful, not where Cal is concerned either. I don’t stand to get hurt by either of them. I guess more than anything, I’m still sad to have lost his friendship but unfortunately, that ship has already sailed.

How have your feelings for Cal changed since you know what really happened between him and your ex-wife that night?

It’s weird, because while it’s so fucked up what he did, I know that deep down, he never would have touched Marissa if he had been sober. So, I know the alcohol played a big part in that. Yeah… now that I know the full truth, I don’t hold him as culpable. I don’t think I would have been able to forgive him without knowing the full truth.

What really happened on your "boys" night that Mac was not invited to?

It was pretty lame so you didn’t miss much. Bunch of drunk lawyers trying to one up each other with their war stories in court. That wouldn’t have been so bad but then Kylie showed up and I had to dodge her advances. I was seriously missing Mac that night, no lie.

What are your thoughts on the dating service now? When was the last time you used it?

Last time I used it was my first “date” with Mac and while there was a period of time in our relationship that I desired the simplicity of that service, I don’t fucking miss it at all. How could I? When I have Mac. As to the dating service itself, it’s a brilliant business model and kept me well supplied in… well, you know what I mean.

Your relationship with Mac is based on a highly physically connection, when did that change for you? Was there a "moment" when you realized the emotional connection?

Absolutely. I realized it the moment Karen told me that Mac’s mom had been in an accident. I physically lost my breath because I think I was feeling Mac’s pain. I knew, at that moment, she had become more to me.

You showed up at the hospital when Mac was visiting her mother, what made you drop everything in your life to go to Mac when at that point you didn't even want a "relationship" with her?

I think my brain was telling me I didn’t want a relationship with her, but I think it was my heart that made me get on that plane. I think my heart always knew but it was too tied up in emotional baggage to let me be free.

How did you decide it was the right time for Mac to meet your son? What was your biggest fear about them meeting?

That day I invited Mac to meet Gabe, it was so spontaneous. I don’t think I necessarily felt it was the right time per se… it was more of an impulsive decision borne of the fact I wanted to see Mac. My biggest fear was that Gabe wouldn’t like her. I thought it was a long shot, because he’s such a laid back kid, but if there was ever anything that was going to doom our relationship, it was if Gabe wasn’t on board with Mac.

What made you shut down and push Mac away? The visit from your ex, the friendship between Mac and Cal, or something else?

I’d like to blame it on Marissa’s visit, but that was really all on me. Marissa was just the catalyst to let me succumb to my fear. I was just too much of a pussy to take the risk with my heart at that point. It wasn’t until I lost Mac that I realized that there was no real risk at all.


If you could change one thing about your relationship with Mac, what would it be?

Hmmm… this is going to sound completely filthy, but I’m a dirty fucking guy. There’s a part of Mac’s body that I thoroughly want to possess. She hasn’t let me have it yet… fears and all, but I’ll tap it one day, rest assured.

Mac… what is the first word that comes to mind when you think of her?

Love.

Fun fact about you we don’t know?

There’s a sex video of me on the internet. It’s not under my real name, so don’t bother asking me how to find it. I have no clue how it got out there, but it was of me and this girl I was seeing my freshman year of college. We thought it would be fun to video ourselves. Let’s just say I hope you never see it, because I’ve learned my best moves since then. It’s pretty pathetic actually.

Finally… what do you love most about Mac?

The thing that I love about Mac the most is that she walked away from me. I know that sounds weird, but her confidence in herself is the sexiest thing about her.

Excerpt from Off Chance: Meet Rowan & Flynn!

I can only imagine what Thanksgiving would be like with the Caldwells. There will be plenty of good food, lots of laughter, and probably some naps when it’s all said and done.

“And Capone can come, too,” Flynn throws in to entice me further, but I’d already decided to accept.

“Okay. We’re in. Can you ask your mom what I can bring?”

“I’ll ask but I know she’ll say ‘don’t bring a thing but yourself’.”

I laugh over Flynn’s impersonation of his mom’s Irish accent. “In that case, don’t bother asking and I’ll just bring something. Maybe a pie.”

“You can cook?” Flynn asks with astonishment.

“Of course I can cook,” I tell him with indignation.

“Then how come all we ever have is pizza or bologna sandwiches when it’s your turn to cook?”

“Just because I can cook, doesn’t mean I want to. This is the twenty-first century pal... get with the times. Women have shed the chains of slavery and we no longer serve you menfolk.”

Flynn throws his head back and starts howling with laughter, then he pitches forward, holding the hand with Capone’s leash to his stomach while he laughs, with the other holding onto his hot cocoa. It’s infectious and I start laughing along with him.

He looks at me and our eyes meet.

Then it happens... there is almost a crackle in the air, like electricity is flowing between us. Flynn’s laughter immediately dies away and the smile slides from my face. The same happens to me and nothing is left in our expressions except a focused intensity on each other. It’s almost as if I can feel heat swirling all around us, and the backdrop of the world fades to black.

Until nothing is left but just Flynn and me.

I call it “The Happening” and it represents those few times when the resolve to just be friends seems to melt away into oblivion. It occurs at the weirdest of times and I have no control over it. When I’m in that moment with Flynn, I want nothing more than for him to grab me and kiss me like I was the oxygen his lungs crave. I want to strip him bare and use just my fingertips to trace every inch of skin on his body. I want to get lost... deeply lost, in Flynn.

“The Happening” hits Flynn just as hard as it hits me. I see the desire light him up from within. I feel the sexual tension pouring off him with visceral awareness, and I swear I can feel his heart moaning for me.

When “The Happening” occurs, I am powerless to fight it. In fact, if Flynn ever made a move to touch me during the event, I would completely submit to him body and soul. But thankfully, Flynn is a stronger person than I am, and he is clearly the more responsible of the two of us. He’ll usually snap out of it first, and bring me crashing back to reality.

Like he does right at this moment.

"Renner... are you okay?"

My eyes fly open and Cillian is standing before me, his backpack slung over his shoulder. Worry and concern are etched on his face. His hand reaches up and catches a stray tear that slides down my cheek.

Embarrassed he caught me in this vulnerable state, I turn my face away and mutter, "Sure. Yes. I'm fine."

"But your crying," he points out.

"I'm hormonal... PMS and all that."

Taking my face with both of his hands, he forces my eyes to his. "Try again."

My gaze is unflinching when I tell him, "It's nothing I want to talk about. You remember what it's like not to want to talk about something, right?"

He drops his hands and takes a step back, shoving his hands in his pocket. "Fair enough. I just came out to tell you that something's come up and I have to go, so I won't be able to walk you home tonight."

"That's okay. I don't need you to walk me home anyway." That statement is absolutely true but why did I have a sinking feeling in my stomach when Cillian told me I was on my own for the evening walk home? Why would that even bother me when he holds nothing more than a passing interest...in his music, that is?

Okay, I'm lying. I've been thinking about him more and more the last few days, and apparently I had been looking forward to him walking me home tonight, otherwise I wouldn't be feeling disappointed that he's not. And that is just not something that is acceptable to me. I do not want to have feelings for him, or anyone for that matter. I'm still trying to sort out the bruised and battered feelings I have left from my fiasco with Cormac.

Bolstering myself and needing to say the words out loud so I accept them as true in my own mind, I harden my voice and say, "Cillian... let's just cut this farce off. I don't want you walking me home anymore and I don't want you trying to get to know me. I have absolutely no interest in you."

For good measure, I put on my most ferocious glare.

And what does the bastard do? He smirks at me.

Dropping his backpack to the ground, he steps forward. He then takes his hands and slaps them against the wall on either side of my head, caging me in. My body immediately goes still, keenly aware of how close he is. "Now that's just a fib, Renner. You have plenty of interest in me. Don't think I haven't noticed the way you've been staring at me the last few nights. I can see the interest in your eyes. I can read it in your body. In fact, I bet if I leaned in to kiss you right now, your eyes would glaze over just a bit and your lips would part open, ready for me to taste you. Shall I prove it?"

Somewhere in that crazy, sexy speech of his, my insides start squirming and my body flushes hot. I let my breath out slowly, so I wouldn't inadvertently moan over his words and give myself away.

God help me, but I want him to kiss me.

Instead, I whisper, "There's nothing to prove."

His gaze leaves my eyes and wanders down to my lips. His tongue flicks out over his lip rings, wetting them slightly. He doesn't look back up into my eyes when he growls, "Oh, there's something to prove, Ren. And I will."

The timber of his voice is hypnotic. The intent is carnal and possessive. It overwhelms my senses and causes my common sense to fade into nothingness.

My head is spinning and my troubles with Cormac are forgotten as he just stares at my mouth. I hold absolutely still, waiting for him to lean in further to kiss me.

But his head doesn't move. Instead, he moves in one step closer, bringing our bodies flush. The heat is searing and electric, and my knees almost buckle when I can feel his hardness against my belly. I've never had a man so overtly attracted to me before, and it makes me feel powerful and hungry to find out more.

Although our bodies are pressed together, he still just stares at my mouth. A tiny sigh escapes my lips and I breathlessly ask, "What are you waiting for?"

His breath is warm against my face and he smells of Guinness and mint. He drags his gaze up and his eyes are molten when they make contact with mine. "I'm waiting for you to fucking demand it of me. I don't want you to ask, and I sure as hell don't want you to beg. I want you to fucking demand that I kiss you."
